  1. Dear Steph and Simon, many many thanks for a great holiday especially at such short notice! The breakfasts really were delicious and the accomodation is lovely. We all had a great time especially the dog who has magically returned to her saintly self now we’re back home. Thanks for putting up with her woofing and bouncing. I’ve no idea where it all came from!
I’ve saved the best for last. The lessons were fabulous. I had so many lightbulb moments I’m surprised you didn’t have to wear sunglasses. Now she’s home Rio has never been so forwards. Best of all today we were working on our hiss-legs off-GO in a field and the canter was big, forwards and bouncy so I asked for a couple of changes under the watchful eye of my usual instructor. And they were correct and through! Yay! You’ve worked miracles.

Thanks a million! I’m sure we’ll be back.

  2. Dear Stephanie,
Could you advise on costs of these training breaks please?
    Best Regards,
    Wiola

  3. Dear Stephanie,
Loved the commentary above, the last bit brought a lump to my throat. As Wiola really – cost of the training breaks, duration etc.
    Many thanks.
    Alex

  4. Dear Stephanie,

I have been a great fan of yours since I saw you compete at Olympia 2006.
I cried when you came down the centre line this year, when every body started clapping to the beat. It was so moving and Mr. President looked amazing. He really does love his work.

Why I have contacted you is that Myself and Aintree Races, are setting up an Equine show in November of this year. It will be quite similar to Your Horse Live in Warwickshire.
There is nothing like this event in the North West and I would be honoured if you would do some demonstrations at this event as I know you would be a big hit.
It is a weekend show. I have not confirmed the final date but it will be late November.

I promise there will be home made lemon meringue pie on tap, when ever you want it.
Well done for coming 9th at the FET World Cup Qualifier, you must be over the moon.

I really hope you will be able to come, my office number is 0151 605 0720 or my mobile (which is probably best as I’m always at the stables) is 07980 920204, email info@equisafety.com

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Nicky Fletcher

  5. Dear Stephanie,

  7. Hi

Im a huge fan of yours and Mr President. The reason im contacting you is that I know Mr Smith where you purchased Mr President and wondered if he was sired by Mr Smith’s bay hackney cross?
I have two very nice mares and i am going to use him to cover them.
Also my friend has Mr Presidents half brother, he is a truely special horse, but my friend is not a competetive rider. She has had him many years and is just a pet, he too was bought from Mr Smith.

    Good luck for this season.

    Kind Regards Becky

  8. Hello,

I hope you don’t mind me asking but how is Mr. President? I know it sounds a bit sad but I’ve missed hearing about him! The first time I saw him was in a G.P. at Myerscough, he was amazing! He really looked like he was enjoying himself and thoroughly deserved his standing ovation!! I have checked the B.D. results and can’t find any recent ones so can only assume he is not out and about yet, is he ok?
Hope you are all well, Ruth.

  9. hi there im really inspiresd to read about mr president i also have a gelderlander cross who i have struggled getting him into showing as people struggle to realise what he really is !!!!

  15. Hi
I was wondering what dates are available for the training holidays & how much they cost please.
I would like to start some dressage with my horse but need some help to learn to ride him more correctly as he is very big moving & forward going. We are struggling through together, but could do with a hand in the right direction!
    Many thanks
    Em

  16. Hi

Could I please have some details on your dressage training breaks? I am a huge fan of dressage and believe my youngster has what it takes in the future and dont want her to go to waste, so training at a high standard would be a dream, I have a 9 year old who I compete locally at present.

Many Thanks and look forward to hearing from you

    Tracy

  17. Hello,

You are an absolute inspiration! Always dreamt of competing as a child but never had the opportunity, and always thought it’d never be possible starting riding later in life, but you have proven it can be done!!

I am not looking to compete at such a high level, but would like to be able to compete confidently at local level (mostly showjumping/combined training), but first off I really need to work on my leg aids and get this flatwork perfect…what exactly would your training involve, costs etc?

  18. Steph,
I was so lucky that you picked us for the competition winner at Barleyfields.I was very nervous but You made us feel at ease and your clear instruction and simple explainations made Anton go better than he has ever been.
You are a real inspiration to us all and it was a pleasure and honor to have been able to assist with the Demo a such a low level of Dressage.
Anton was so light, full of energy, and active behind, which made him easier to ride.
I really would like to attend further sessions with you if you have any Clinics at all in the area.

It was a fantastic experience. Many thanks.
Thanks to Sue Carson too for the clothing and Saddle cloth, it made the night very memorable.

  19. Hi Stephanie,

I wondered if you could let me know how much your training holidays are? – I’d be keen to stay in my lorry and just have hook up and accommodation for possibly 2 horses. One working elem the other advanced.

    Thank you

  20. Hi Stephanie
Could you please contact me through my email
    Thank you
    Jo

  21. Dear Steph
Wondered if you could send me some details/availability for training breaks with my horse? I am hoping my husband will treat me for my 40th, coming up in September!!!
    Many many thanks
    Sarah

  22. Dear Steph,

I wondered if you may know of anyone looking for a young dressage horse?
I have a homebred mare who is by Ian’s hackney out of a very good warmblood mare of mine. I wanted to keep her but we are wanting to move house so realistically i need to sell to help fund the move which breaks my heart .
We where at your demo at NEC earlier in the year and wish i had approached you then but there where so many people afterwards that i chickened out.
I dont really want to advertise her as i really would like her to go to a good dressage home so thought i would start by word of mouth.
I thought with you teaching so many people and knowing her bloodlines that you may know of someone.
    Kind Regards
    Rebecca

  30. I guess I’m going to need to read up some more but this is a good strting point.

  31. Hi there, I think your blog could be having internet browser compatibility problems.
Whenever I look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet
Explorer, it’s got some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Other than that, fantastic blog!

  32. hi, Stef, , Sorry to bother you. I am the small blonde rider of Capetto Vestervang ( giant) you have talked to at Sheepgate and keysoe. Please could I talk to you about the International shows, as you have first hand experience and I have none and am not sure which is best for a BFG! Belinda
